𝐍𝐨, 𝐈’𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐲

A dear friend of mine messaged today to ask me if I’m okay and I wanted to answer publicly.

A dear friend of mine messaged today to ask me if I’m okay and I wanted to answer publicly.

No. I’m not okay.

When I’m being attacked and minimized as a woman, no I’m not okay.

When I’m being targeted as an immigrant, no I’m not okay.

When my friends, family & community is having their personhood removed (by law), and they are being treated as less than human, no I’m not okay.

When there are people that AGREE with other people being treated as less than human, no I’m not okay.

When my state is held hostage, and denied federal aid for a natural disaster unless we submit to new policies, no I’m not okay.

When the President of a country I deeply love, tells me he doesn’t give a shit about me, my family & my friends, and threatens to start wars with our allies, no. I’m definitely, definitely not okay.

But will I be?

Of course! Everything will be okay.

I know why this is happening.

I know deeply in my soul this is the deconstruction: the grand entry point for the Ascension.

This is the time to stay in your lane

I am choosing to stay in my lane.

And America is my lane. The people who live here are my people.

And I will never, in this history of the world, stop speaking out against behavior that I believe is dehumanizing.

We did that already.

We sat by and watched a man say awful things and delude ourselves into thinking he didn’t mean it.

As a Jewish woman, I will never be okay with watching that happen again and not saying something.

I know where my focus will be. On empowering the people who feel disempowered.

Because I know we choose how we allow ourselves to be treated. And no one can treat you in a way you don’t allow.

At every level, we choose our reality and experience. I’m just being very careful not to trick myself into believing reality is different

than it actually is.

And I will fully allow my human self to feel the seriousness of these events, and the emotions that come with it.

I’m totally okay with knowing that what is happening isn’t okay. 💜💔
